Delete your account.

We're sorry to see you go. You can request permanent deletion of your Chemist Box account and the personal data linked to it. Here's exactly what happens, and what we're legally required to keep.

How it works

Three steps.

1

Verify it's you

Enter the mobile number registered to your Chemist Box account. We send a one-time password (OTP) to confirm the request is genuinely yours.

2

Confirm the request

Enter the OTP and confirm. We'll show you what will be removed before anything is deleted.

3

We process it within 30 days

Your account is deactivated immediately and the associated personal data is deleted within 30 days, as set out in our privacy policy.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile — name, registered mobile number and email address
  • Saved delivery addresses and your selected home branch
  • Saved favourites and refill reminders
  • Uploaded prescriptions held against your account
  • App login credentials and session data

What we must keep

Some records cannot be deleted on request, because a licensed pharmacy is legally required to retain them:

  • Dispensing and invoice records — retained as required under pharmacy, drug and tax law.
  • Financial and GST records — retained for the statutory period.
  • Backup and archive copies — these age out on their normal cycle, and are not used for any other purpose.

These records are kept only for legal compliance and are not used to contact or market to you after deletion.

This cannot be undone

Deleting your account is permanent. Your order history, saved medicines and refill reminders will not be recoverable, and you'd need to register again to use the app.

Request deletion

Let's verify your identity first.

Prefer email? Write to [email protected] from your registered address with the subject “Account deletion request”. We respond within 30 days.

Deleting the app isn't enough

Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account or your data. Use this page (or email us) to request deletion.

For full details on what we collect and how long we keep it, see our privacy policy. Complaints can be raised with our grievance officer.
